What Metabolic Twin is

Metabolic Twin is wellness planning software for adults considering, undertaking, or recently completing weight-management treatment under a clinician's care. It produces a weekly Maintenance Brief and a 7-day protocol based on your self-reported and connected data.

What Metabolic Twin is not

Metabolic Twin is not a medical device under EU MDR 2017/745. It does not:

Provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or prescriptions.
Recommend, dose, modify, suggest stopping, or otherwise manage any medication, including GLP-1 receptor agonists or any other prescription drug.
Replace, substitute, or supersede the clinical judgment of any healthcare professional.
Detect or diagnose any medical condition, including diabetes, eating disorders, or any complication of weight-loss treatment.
Offer any form of emergency response, urgent care advice, or crisis intervention.

Continue clinical care

You must continue to consult your own healthcare provider for any medical decision, including:

Starting, modifying, pausing or stopping any prescription medication.
Investigating any new symptom, complication, or change in physical or mental health.
Setting safe weight-management goals.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding considerations.
Any condition that requires monitoring (cardiovascular, endocrine, mental health, eating disorders, etc.).

About the statistics on this site

Statistics about weight regain after stopping weight-management medication (e.g., the "two thirds regain" reference) reflect published clinical literature on the population of patients in those studies. Individual outcomes vary by treatment regimen, comorbidities, lifestyle, genetics, and many other factors. The statistics describe a published cohort, not a prediction about you.

Self-reported and connected data

Metabolic Twin processes self-reported weight, meals, activity, and (optionally) data from continuous glucose monitors and wearables. The accuracy of any output depends on the accuracy of the input. Devices like CGMs and wearables have known measurement limitations; the product treats them as trend signals, not as clinical-grade measurements.

Suitability

Metabolic Twin is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not designed for, and should not be used by, people:

Under 18 years of age.
Currently being treated for a clinically diagnosed eating disorder, unless their treating clinician has explicitly approved use.
In acute medical crisis, including but not limited to suspected suicidality, cardiovascular event, severe hypoglycemia, or pregnancy complications — please contact emergency services or your clinician.

Safety updates

If you experience any unexpected reaction, symptom, or concern that you believe is connected to actions you took based on a Maintenance Brief, stop using the corresponding action and contact your healthcare provider. You can email info@eternix.ai to inform us of any concerns; we use those reports to improve the product.
